Microsoft launches a new update for Windows 10 systems; this latest update is known as Windows 10 Creators Update. It contains lots of patches for different bugs and issues, along with different patches an eye-catching feature is introduced known as Dynamic Lock Feature.

This advance system locking function will allow the users to lock their PC/Laptop and protects it from unauthorized use without signing out or shutting down the system.

In the old Windows Hello security feature you need a paired iPhone, Android or Windows Phone in order to detect when you step away from your Computer or tablet and want to lock your system automatically. This remote lock feature works only with smartphones, fitness bands or any device that’s paired to Computer or tablet.

And now Microsoft officially release the Dynamic Lock that automatically locks Windows 10 PC when users are not around based the nearness of a Bluetooth-paired phone.

If your Bluetooth-paired phone is not found around your PC, Windows will turns off the screen and lock the PC just after 30 seconds. In order to turn on the Dynamic Lock, make sure that your phone is paired to your PC via Bluetooth and toggle Dynamic lock to “on”.

How to pair your phone with your PC

You need a Bluetooth enabled phone as Dynamic Lock feature need Bluetooth connection. So turn on the Bluetooth of your device and set them on searchable mode.

After it setup your PC/Laptop and pair your phone.

Step 2: Click on the Sign-in options present on the left side of the window, and check(to turn on) or uncheck (to turn offAllow Windows to detect when you’re away and automatically lock the device available under Dynamic Lock on the right side for what you want.

Step 1: Download the given .reg file (Click to download Turn_on_Dynamic_Lock.reg)

Step 2: Now find where it is downloaded and saved (it generally downloaded in the Download folder), after finding double click on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

Step 3: If you will get, click on RunYes (UAC), Yes, and OK to agree the merge.

Step 4: After enabling you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
